Hey everyone,
I wanted to post a quick mid-year newsletter with some exciting awards news about Revolt!
There’s also a short update about all my current and future projects.
Revolt! nominated for three ENNIE Awards
I’m extremely proud to say that my GM-less/solo fantasy game Revolt! has been nominated for three Ennie Awards:
Product of the Year
Best Production Values
Best Cartography
As far as tabletop roleplaying goes, the Ennies are probably the most well-known and they receive around a thousand entries(!).
Honestly, it’s an honour to even receive a nomination (let alone three), but actually winning requires votes:
🏆 Voting for the 2025 Ennie Awards is now live here 🏆
To vote, you rank games in each category from 1 to 5 (1 being your favourite). You also don’t need to rank every game.
I’d really appreciate your vote if you think Revolt! deserves a shot at winning!
If you haven’t checked out the game yet, there are still digital community copies available on itch.io.
Indie Groundbreaker Awards
Revolt! recently won Best Rules at the Indie Groundbreaker Awards.
This is the first time one of my games has actually won an award (not just a nomination) so it’s pretty huge for me.
The Indie Groundbreaker Awards always highlights some excellent games you may have missed, with purely judge-based voting to help avoid the most established games always walking away with the prizes.
All in all, it’s been a successful few months for Revolt! and I’m so pleased that more people are starting to get it to the table.
Project updates
My current priority is writing Heavy Weighs the Crown, in preparation for a summer launch. This has slipped back a little bit from my original July estimate, but I’m confident it will be ready within a few months.
I’ve been continuing to work with my friend and collaborator Jack, co-writing the Lost & Found collection. Artefact is now text-complete and I’m very proud of our work; probably some of my best writing to date!
Jack and I shared a stall at UK Games Expo back in May—it was really successful for me personally and I can’t wait to head back with new games over the next few years. If I met you there, it was great to chat!
Finally, we’re planning to run a new Kickstarter around October this year! I can’t give too much away yet until I’m certain it’s all possible, but we’ll be working with Torben again and it’s safe to say this will be really exciting if you’re a fan of Notorious. It will definitely be my most ambitious project to date.
Thanks for continuing to subscribe to my little newsletter!
One final request/reminder to vote for Revolt! in the Ennie Awards here. You can find it under Best Cartography, Production Values and Product of the Year.
I’ll be back later in the year with all the details about my next Kickstarter.

Big fan of Notorious, so can't wait for that October announcement!
Congratulations on the nominations, I hope you do really well.
Damn, you can't tease us like that about the upcoming kickstarter, I wanna know moar!
Congrats on the nominations and awards for Revolt!, I haven't been able to play it quite yet, which is something I should really change soon. And until then, it's also a gorgeous product to behold and an entertaining read.
